Dr.
Subhadra Ganguli has joined BIBF in September 2004 as an instructor in the Banking & Finance Learning Center. She has completed her B.Sc in Economics
(Hons) from Presidency College, India and M.A in
Economics from Jawaharlal Nehru University in India. She
has earned a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of
California in Riverside, USA in 2003. Her areas of
specialization are: Statistics, Micro and Macroeconomics
and Economometrics..
Subhadra has worked as a full-time lecturer in Economics
in different colleges (including Presidency College) in
India prior to her studies in the USA. She has worked in
the University of California as a Teaching Assistant for
Undergraduate Economics courses during 1998-2003. She
has also taught at the Summer School in the University
of California as a lecturer in Economics. She has worked
with the United States Environmental Protection Agency
(US EPA) in Washington D.C. extensively during her Ph.D.
program during 2001-2002 as a student volunteer. She has
worked with the Instituto Nacional de Ecologia (INE) of
the Government of Mexico at Mexico City during summer of
2002 as part of her dissertation research.
She has presented her research papers in various
international conferences, seminars and workshops in
USA, Canada, UK and India.
She has received the Outstanding Teaching Assistantship
Award, PBS Documentary, Anticipate 2010 Pedagogy
Project, UC Riverside, CA, USA.
She is a member of the Econometric Society of India.
