‘International Diploma in Compliance’ ( ICA-IDC )

The ICA International Diploma in Compliance (IDC) is a unique program that provides detailed knowledge and useful, practical skills. The ICA-IDC is designed and awarded in association with University of Manchester Business School (for quality assurance) and endorsed by the British Bankers’ Association in the United Kingdom.

Program Structure

The program delivered in Bahrain by BIBF and ICT (Middle East). ICT (Middle East) adopt a tried and tested integrated learning approach. It combines comprehensive course materials, interactive workshops, online information and research facilities and dedicated tutor support. Currently, the ICA-IDC involves 50 hours of interactive face-to-face study sessions delivered over extended 9 months, through 3 intensive workshops of 2 days/8 hrs each day, followed by assignment. Students will be assessed through the completion of 3 written assignments, each assignment being between 2500 and 3500 words in length and a 3 hour 15 minute open-book examination to be held at BIBF. The language of instruction and examination will be English.

Pre-Requisite

The ICA International Diploma in Compliance has a practical focus and is designed for individuals who intend to carry out therole of Compliance Officer or work within the compliance function. The entry criteria are:

• Sound educational background, e.g. degree or professional qualification in an appropriate discipline
• Attainment of the International Compliance Association Certificate in Compliance (International or UK)
• Three years relevant work experience
• All applicants need the ability to complete the reading and written aspects of the course in English
