BIBF opens channels for Islamic Finance Training and Development in Kazakhstan

BIBF was invited to conduct a full day seminar for the participants of Kazakhstan Islamic Conference (KIFC) 2010 on March 16, 2010. The conference was well attended by the International dignitaries including HE K. Massimov, Prime-Minister of Kazakhstan and Abdulla Hassan Saif, Advisor to His Highness Prime-Minister of Bahrain for Economic Affairs, Chairman of the Board, IBA.

During the Kazakhstan visit, BIBF also conducted a three day course (March 17-19, 2010) on Introduction to AAOIFI Accounting- First Islamic finance course with Istisna’a Corporation- which was well received by the Islamic finance industry stakeholders in CIS region particularly Kazakhstan.

The BIBF Center for Islamic Finance was the 2008 and 2009 global winner of the Best Islamic Finance Training Institution and the visit to Kazakhstan was an opportunity to showcase Bahrain’s expertise in Islamic finance training and development to International community visiting the CIS region to attend KIFC.
