BIBF Honors Ministry employees

A group of 15 selected senior employees of the Ministry of Municipalities and Agriculture Affairs were awarded today at BIBF for completing the second module of the University of Cambridge International Examinations- Management Diploma. His Excellency Dr. Juma Al Ka’bi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Municipalities and Agriculture Affairs and BIBF’s Senior Management and Staff and Ministry officials attended the event.

“The program which was launched earlier this year by his Excellency Dr. Juma Al Ka’bi, prepares the candidates to take senior management positions at the Ministry in future” Said Mr. Darshan Singh, Head of Leadership & Management Learning Center at BIBF. Mr. Singh added that the participants are expected to complete the full diploma curriculum of eight modules. “Every module is followed by a management file which will be sent to Cambridge for accreditation and certification”.

Dr Al ka’abi congratulated the employees for completing the second module of the program and encouraged them to put further efforts to achieve the desired results. “With the fast-track changes going on in the kingdom today, Municipal work has become a major pillar towards enhancing the Kingdom’s economic development” Said Dr Al ka’abi. “That is why the Ministry is keen on ensuring the human resource development to build young future leaders who are capable of running the municipal work effectively. This will result in attracting more visitors, investors and business opportunities’ he said.

BIBF’s Deputy Director, Hussain Ismail expressed his thanks to the ministry for taking such a step to developing manpower in the Kingdom. Mr. Ismail stressed the importance of the human element which he considered as the cornerstone and of any economy.

Mr. Husain Al Ajmi, BIBF’s Acting Division Head- Learning Centers thanked Dr. Al Khabi for giving BIBF the privilege to train the Ministry’s staff and urged the candidates to share what they have learnt and apply it in their organizations.

“ The process of human resource development is not only limited to the private sector but also extends to the Government Sector in Bahrain and this is something we should be proud of,” Said Mr. Al Ajmi. “ Over the past years, The Institute has worked closely with several Ministries and Government Organizations, which demonstrates the Government’s keen interest in developing human capital to keep abreast of the developments and activities going on around the globe, ” he said.
