Orientation Day at BIBF for DePaul MBA Candidates

An orientation Program was held at BIBF last week by DePaul University, Chicago to welcome the new intake of DePaul University MBA Program.

Program Coordinator Mrs. Zahra Tabbara said “This is the sixth intake of the DePaul (MBA) Program which has been running successfully for years in Bahrain and the third intake of Master of Science in Human Resource Management (MSHR). We are also offering a new major, Master of Science in Finance (MSF) which is due to start in January 2008 at BIBF”. “The first program commenced at BIBF in September 2001 with 25 students, and has proven to be an outstanding success in providing a world class MBA Experience to both participants and their sponsoring Organizations” said Mrs. Tabbara.

Professor Michael Jedel, Associate Dean of the Keldstadt College of Commerce welcomed the new intake and briefed them on the program, its, courses, objectives and admission requirements as well as the Campus Connect and Blackboard access.

“DePaul University and BIBF joined hands to offer this part-time Executive MBA, as the first resident program in Bahrain, ranked by US News and World Report in the Top 10 and #4 for Executive MBA Programs. DePaul University enjoys an international reputation for academic excellence,” Said Professor Jedel.

Professor Jedel highlighted the Program’s uniqueness in being one of the largest part-time MBA Programs in the world and the only program taught solely by U.S. faculty in the entire Middle East. The presentation was followed by a question and answer session.

Dr. Mohammed Alkhozai, Head of Academic And Executive Programs at BIBF said “ I would encourage organizations looking to develop individual leadership and management skills, to take advantage of the DePaul MBA program - The DePaul Executive MBA is an investment, which will clearly pay rich dividends in this regard”.
