Graduation Ceremony of BIBF-Bentley Program 2007

Manama, Bahrain 23 graduates of BIBF-Bentley Program B.Sc. Program in Business Administration were honored today at a reception and awards dinner held at the Gulf Hotel’s International Convention Center. The event was attended by government officials, as well as Bank’s CEOs and General Managers in Bahrain, graduates families as well as BIBF management, staff and faculty and representatives of Bentley College, Boston, USA.
Chief guests were HE. Mr. Anwar Al Sada, Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB) , HE. Mr. William Monore, the US Ambassador in Bahrain, Dr. Robert Gallier, Vice President of Academic Affairs of Bentley College along with other guests coming from Bentley including Dr. Nader Asgary, Associate Provost of International Relations and Dr. Maha Khatib, Director of the Bahrain Program. Also present at the ceremony were H.E. Shaikh Humood Al Khalifa, Governer of the Capital Governate, Mr. Ahmed Al Banna, Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Labour and Mr. Ghazi Abdul-Jawad, President and Chief Executive of Arab Banking Corporation who was the commencement speaker at the graduation ceremony.
The Ceremony began a speech delivered by Dr. Gallier, Vice President of Academic Affairs of Bentley College, who, who on behalf of the College, extended his heartiest congratulations and best wishes to the graduates for this accomplishment. He also expressed his delight and privilege for being associated with a reputable organization as BIBF. “It’s been my privilege to serve as your provost these past four years, and on behalf of everyone back in Bentley-Waltham, and for all our trustees, faculty, staff and alumni , we are enormously proud of what you have accomplished and that we are confident in what you will accomplish” said Dr. Gallier. He went on to say “ this wonderful experiment of Bentley in Bahrain would not have been possible without the friendship, cooperation and partnership with our colleagues from BIBF”
BIBF’s Learning Centers Head, Mr. Husain Al Ajmi delivered another speech and congratulated students and their families for successfully completing this unique program that equips them with sophisticated, high quality business knowledge and prepares them to meet the challenges of their future careers.
The Graduates speech was delivered by Ms. Fatima Ali and Ms. Yasmeen Hubaish who, on behalf of their graduating colleagues thanked the BIBF and Bentley college staff for their tremendous support and guidance that have helped them develop into powerful and potential assets capable of entering and invading the job force. The student’s speech was followed by an Arabic poem recited by Khaled Humood Al Khalifa to commemorate this special and memorable event.
These graduates will be now moving into the real business world, working and getting trained. Since BIBF has the firm belief in its youth, BIBF has invited these young graduates to join the BIBF INITIATIVE, a program designed by BIBF in conjunction with Bahrain’s leading banks in order to train these youth to become the future leaders of their country.
