BIBF Annual Graduation Ceremony 2007

352 graduates of BIBF’s Professional Qualification Programs were honored today at a reception and awards dinner held at the Gulf Hotel’s International Convention Center under the patronage of H.E Mr. Rasheed Almeraj , Governor of the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB), Chairman of the Board of Directors of BIBF.

The event was also attended by government officials, ambassadors, members of the Specific Council for Vocational Training (Banking Sector) and CEOs of financial institutions.

Mr. Almaraj presented the certificates to all graduating professionals and students in the presence of CEOs, Training Managers and General Managers of various Financial Organizations and Institutions as well as representatives of Participating Organization, Programs Instructors and graduates families.

H.E Mr. Rasheed Al Maraj delivered a key note speech where he extended his heartiest congratulations to the graduates on their achievements. He also acknowledged BIBF’s vital role in developing the future banking and insurance professionals in the Kingdom.

On the other hand, Mr. Husain Al Ajmi, Head of BIBF Learning Centers delivered speech and congratulated all graduates on behalf of BIBF’s staff and Faculty. He also thanked them for their dedication and encouraged them to constantly seek knowledge and aggressively pursue continued education and skills training.

“After more than 25 years, BIBF managed to maintain the highest standards in all aspects of its training and educational process and remains a premier center of excellence” said Mr. Al Ajmi. He further went on to say “ We remain firmly committed to providing world class programs to equip participants with the right skills to support and develop their business objectives”. Al Ajmi further noted “Our scope of programs has tremendously expanded with the launch of new internationally recognized programs in partnership with a number of acclaimed international professional bodies and academic institutions”

The graduates speech was delivered this year by Mr. Raed Ali Al Haddad from Khaleej Commercial Bank, who on behalf of his graduate colleagues, thanked the BIBF family and the sponsoring organizations for their tremendous support and guidance. “BIBF has contributed to helping us become well-rounded individuals. Not only have we succeeded in our academic endeavor; we have also learnt a lot about becoming real professionals that can perform well at their workplace”, Said Mr. Al Haddad. He added “I am proud to say that BIBF has provided the right environment for us to grow and gain knowledge to best serve the financial community in the Kingdom”.

This year, 48 students were recognized for the Advanced Banking Studies Diploma Program, 4 in BSc (Hons) in Financial Services and Associate Ship, 29 in Treasury Capital Markets Diploma Program (TCMDP), 12 in the University of Wales Validated Diploma Program in Banking and Finance, 99 in the Advanced Insurance Studies Diploma Program, 22 in Insurance Management Diploma Program, 87 in Professional Insurance Certificate (PIC) and 31 in the Advanced Banking Diploma Program.

BIBF is also delighted to announce recognizing its very first group of 20 CII Diploma holders of the newly launched CII Academy at BIBF. The CII Academy at BIBF, a newly formed academy, and the first outside the UK, formed to offer qualifications of the Chartered Insurance Institute of the UK through BIBF and CII courses.

Demand for such BIBF professional Qualifications has increased with more participants coming from outside the Kingdom of Bahrain to pursue a professional route. This year, in addition to Bahrain based students, BIBF honored students from Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Oman, Libya and Qatar.

Outstanding graduates were also recognized and received special awards during the ceremony. These awards are presented to the graduates by a number of financial institutions.
