U.S. AMBASSADOR VISITS BIBF

Manama, Bahrain- BIBF recently welcomed U.S. Ambassador Adam Ereli and provided him a presentation about the organization’s vision and strategic objectives. BIBF Director Garry Muriwai affirmed the importance of American affiliations at BIBF, and pointed particularly to BIBF’s partnerships with the Darden School of Business and De Paul University.

Ambassador Ereli outlined some of the broad objectives of the American Embassy, including promoting the U.S.-Bahrain Free Trade Agreement (FTA) and continuously improving local business owners’ awareness of the benefits of and opportunities under the FTA.

Ambassador Ereli also discussed the Embassy’s outreach to Bahraini youth. He highlighted the Access English Microscholarship Program, an initiative that teaches Bahraini high school students the fundamentals of English.

The visit concluded with discussions of ways the U.S. Embassy and BIBF can cooperate to improve the intellectual capital of the Bahraini market and how BIBF can further support professional development in Bahrain and in the region.
