Eskan Bank Joins BIBF Graduate Training Program

Eskan Bank signed a MoU with BIBF to join nine other leading financial institutions in the Kingdom in developing the young Bahraini talents to become Bankers of the future.

The Graduate Recruitment and Career Development Program was initiated by BIBF in association with several leading Banks in Bahrain to attract 100 fresh graduates per annum for the financial industry and follow their career progression over a five year period.

BIBF’s Deputy Director Mr. Hussain Ismail, upon signing the agreement said, “We are very delighted with this partnership which will boost the skills and talents of young fresh graduates”. “Initiated in 2006, the program has proven to be a huge success as it has placed over 100 young Bahraini Graduates in leading banks in Bahrain”, he added. “Graduates who successfully meet the set requirements are guaranteed a permanent job placement in any of the Banks participating in the program,” he said.

“The selected graduates will undergo comprehensive career development spanning several years. This combines structured classroom training with challenging on-the-job assignments supported by a mentoring scheme within the participating banks.” Said Mr. Husain Al Ajmi, Division Head of BIBF Learning Centers. Mr. Al Ajmi spoke about the importance of investing in the young talented individuals who will ultimately serve the banking sector in Bahrain and contribute towards maintaining Bahrain’s position as regional financial hub.

Head of Human Resources and Administration at Eskan Bank, Mr. Kareem Badri said “We are very pleased with this association with BIBF. This is the very first time that Eskan Bank embarks on such a program and we are very hopeful that this is going to be a successful venture”.

Among the Banks and the financial institutions participating in the program is the Ahli United Bank, City Bank, Kuwait Finance House, Bahrain Saudi Bank, Bank Muscat, Gulf Finance House, HSBC, Gulf Finance House, International Banking Corporation and Arab Banking Corporation.
