Creating Professional Training Opportunities for Locals

Group 4 of the Graduate Recruitment and Career Development Program at the Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance were honored on Thursday 24th January 2008 for successfully completing the final phase of the Program.

The event was attended by BIBF Management team and the CEOs and Human Resource Managers of the Banks participating in the Program, namely: Ahli United Bank, Bank Muscat International, Bahrain Saudi Bank, Citibank, Gulf Finance House, Arab Banking Corporation, HSBC, Kuwait Finance House, and The International Banking Corporation.

Having completed structured class room training at BIBF, the graduates will undergo comprehensive career development at the banks spanning several years.

“The Program was launched in 2006 at the BIBF is part of the Institute’s Initiative to provide career opportunities in the Financial Industry for outstanding young talent, said BIBF’s Director, Mr. Garry Muriwai. “The aim of the Program is to attract one hundred fresh graduates per annum for the financial industry and follow their career progression over a five year period” added Mr. Muriwai “ The program has proven to be a huge success as it has placed over 57 young Bahraini Graduates in leading banks in Bahrain,” he said.

BIBF’s Deputy Director, Mr. Hussain Ismail said “BIBF is at the forefront for providing the best possible professional and vocational Training opportunities for locals as well as a huge service sector in Bahrain. Efforts are continued to create Programs that will be a catalyst for the Kingdom to achieve the national human resource development initiative”.
