Graduation Ceremony of the BIBF- Gulf Executive Development Program

Under the patronage of H.E. Mr. Rasheed Mohammed Almaraj the Governor of Central Bank of Bahrain, 12 graduates of the BIBF- Gulf Executive Development Program (GEDP 9) were honored today in a dinner reception held at the Bahrain Movenpick Hotel at 6:30 Pm. The Program is organized by Bahrain Institution of Banking and Finance (BIBF) in collaboration wit the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business.
The event was attended by Dr. Fareed Al Mulla, General Manager CEO, Bank of Bahrain & Kuwait and Chairman of the Steering Committee, Dr. Sherwood Frey, Professor of Business Administration at the Darden School of Business, University of Virginia, as well as top officials from the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB). Also present were representatives of sponsoring organizations as well as members of the steering committee, graduates and their families and BIBF management team, staff and faculty.
The certificates were presented by H.E Mr. Rasheed Mohammed Almaraj who delivered a speech congratulating the graduates for successfully completing this highly challenging and competitive program.
Dr. Farid Al Mulla, delivered a speech and praised the outstanding success of the candidates and the program which has proven to be a real value-added benefit to both the participants and their sponsoring organizations.
Other key note speakers included Professor Sherwood Frey of Darden Graduate School of Business who expressed his pride to partner with BIBF and support its objective in developing the Gulf Region’s future leadership.
Mr. Husain Alajmi, the Division Head of Learning Centers at BIBF mentioned in his speech the continuing support the Institute receives from the Central Bank of Bahrain and the Banking and Finance industry and other sectors of the economy in the Kingdom of Bahrain outlining the importance of such a leading Program.
On the other hand, Mrs. Aalema Maki, delivered the participants remarks where she acknowledged the significant efforts and commitment of her colleagues and thanked all contributing parties for the distinctive work which has made the Program successful and unique.
