As part of its Executive Education Series, Bahrain BIBF has recently concluded a three- day workshop on enhancing negotiating skills. The workshop titled “Negotiating for the Creation of Mutual Value” was run during the period January 22-24 2008 and was attended by fifteen participants representing various economic sectors in Bahrain.
The highly engaging intense program was targeted at business people who aim to enhance their negotiating skills and expand their influences in and outside their organizations such as executives of global corporations, marketing and sales executives, and line managers and staff specialists.
Dr. Sherwood C. Frey Jr, Professor of Business Administration at the Darden School of Business facilitated the workshop. Dr. Frey teaches in Darden Executive Education Programs as well as in a wide variety of company-sponsored programs in and outside the U.S.
Commenting on the workshop, Professor Frey said “The workshop created a learning laboratory where case studies have been used to help participants evaluate their negotiating performance and develop core skills for assessing a negotiating. This was followed by in-depth classroom discussions to analyze and structure negotiating situations”.
Another workshop “Strategic Change” will be run on February 18-20, 2008. The workshop will be a unique opportunity for executives and decision makers to further develop their skills to become effective leaders and help their organizations change through developing an effective change culture.
