Real Estate Advisory Seminar At BIBF

As part of its external offerings programs, BIBF recently concluded an intensive high profile workshop titled “Real Estate Advisory” for fifteen professionals in the Real Estate industry.
The workshops focused on enhancing participant’s understanding of the Global Real Estate Investment market (Individual Properties and development opportunities) in addition to understanding Shariah and its implications on the Real Estate sector and related investments.
Canadian industry experts: Mr. Aqeel Anwar and Mrs. Azita Moinaddini facilitated the workshop. With over five years of experience in training and development within the Real Estate industry, Mr. Anwar is the founder and Chief Executive officer of Anwar global properties, headquartered in Toronto, Canada which is also one of the few companies in Canada that is exploring Shariah compliant products and financing in the Real Estate sector. Mrs. Moinaddini is Vice President of Anwar Global Properties and has over five years of experience in the Financing and Lending Industry.
“In light of the booming real estate market industry in Bahrain and the Gulf Region, our objective from delivering this workshop was to train the real estate professionals to meet the needs of today’s marketplace and customers,” Said Mr. Mahmood Al Sheahabi, Head of Islamic Finance Learning Center at BIBF. “The seminar provided participants with a glimpse of the conventional and Shariah compliant mortgage financing models, property valuation methods and the best practices in financial reporting, portfolio management and corporate governance,” he said. “This has been enhanced with in class case studies and real life scenarios”.
